​Heather R. Tipsword is an accomplished pianist, vocal coach, and music director with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Texas Tech University and a Master of Music in Collaborative Arts from Baylor University. A sought-after collaborator, she has worked with vocalists, choirs, and chamber musicians worldwide and is well-versed in both opera and musical theater. Her directing credits span a wide range of productions including Into the Woods, Legally Blonde, West Side Story, 9 to 5 The Musical, The Last Five Years, and operas such as Carmen, The Marriage of Figaro, and The Barber of Seville. Based in Houston, she frequently collaborates with Bayou City Concert Musicals, earning praise for her musical direction and accompaniment. Her students have gone on to perform on Broadway, at the Metropolitan Opera, and in national and international tours.
