Michael Nim was born in the USA and has been a Seattle resident his whole life. Born into afamily of opera singers, Michael has been surrounded by opera and music his entire life.

In 2005 his parents started their own opera company, which is now called Bellevue Opera, and since then, Michael has been immersed in the world of opera. As a singer, Michael has sung such roles as Alfredo in La Traviata, Rodolfo in La Bohème, Don José in Carmen, all with Bellevue Opera, Remendado in Carmen and Nejus in the Merry Widow with Tacoma Opera, Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni with the Mediterranean Opera Studio and Festival, and most recently Ferrando in Cosi fan tutte with Opera Classical Europa.

In addition, Michael is an experienced voice teacher, teaching in the traditional style of Bel Canto. Michael is passionate about teaching voice, constantly studying the art of singing and passing his knowledge and experience on to his students
