Soprano Robin Cotton Cobb is the founder and owner of The Vocal Studio of Robin Cobb VSRC and SVMPA-The Summer Vocal Music Program in Abruzzo, Italy. www.svmpa.comthat will launch summer 2026 in Roseto degli Abruzzi, Italy and is an educational summer program featuring vocal “cross-training” that will include 4 individual performances of different vocal genres-opera, both traditional and contemporary musical theater and singer/songwriter techniques; all in a resort setting on the Adriatic Sea. It is also an Italian language and culture intensive.

She has performed many roles in the full lyric/spinto soprano operatic, oratorio and musical theater repertoire including pop/rock musical theater; and is considered a top vocal pedagogue in all of these genres from Classical to CCM styles.

She also has students who are currently or have recently performed on Disney, Carnival, Holland America, Celebrity and Royal Caribbean cruise lines.

Her own singing crosses multiple genres. She has performed operatic roles, traditional musical theater roles as well as contemporary music theater roles.

Recently she performed The Shepherd on the Rock by Schubert at The University of Oklahoma in Spring of 2022 and as a Guest Faculty at Oklahoma City University with Professor Davy Green in a “Crossover” Recital (musical theater and classical) selections in Fall of 2021.

Her most recent professional musical theater performance was the title role of Diana Goodman in Next to Normal by Yorkey and Kitt at the East End Theater in Galveston, TX in2017. She has also been a soloist with the Colorado Symphony in Bernstein’s Mass (that combines multiple singing styles)and also performed the role of Ortlinde in Die Walkure with Austin Lyric Opera. She has performed the soprano solos in the Lord Nelson Mass and Mozart’s Mass in G with The Austin Civic Chorus and Orchestra; and has performed the following operatic roles: (Fiordiligi and Despina) Cosi Fan Tutte (Marguerite) Faust, (Donna Anna) Don Giovanni, (Madeline) The Face on the Barroom Floor, (Micaela) Carmen, (Nedda) Pagliacci, (Cleopatra) Julius Ceasar, (Angelica) Suor Angelica (Ortlinde) Die Walkure among other full lyric roles. She has sung professionally with The Austin Lyric Opera, Santa Barbara Opera, Cimmaron Circuit Opera and Opera North.  She was on the voice faculties of Sam Houston State University, Oklahoma City University,  Houston Christian University and the University of Oklahoma  for 12 years.
